A fun trip through paris - 2 Days in Paris Reviews

This was kind of like a Woody Allen film without the annoyance of having Woody Allen in it. Well-directed by Julie Delpy. It is funny through out, but gets serious at the end. That isn't a complaint, though. In fact, it might make for some good conversation afterward. It was interesting that Delpy allowed herself to create and play a flawed protagonist. She is flawed in ways she may not realize -- her boyfriends ARE all sort of interchangable. And the speech she makes at the end, about not wanting to break up with her current boyfriend because she can't face another break-up -- that says a lot in ways the character may not realize. She doesn't seem to want to stay with him because of who he is, any unique qualities he may possess. She seems to want to stay together because she doesn't want to go through this process again. Yikes! Would you want to stay in a relationship because of that?
